The roof canvas has had one coat of yellow bonding compound mixed with white sprit which has been painted onto it, it looks very much like marzipan which is just waiting for the icing to go on top!

More progress made over the last week, another shot of the droplight runners (Left) these have been cleaned up and dry fitted. A start has been made on fitting the roof boards (Center) and a start has also been made on the 'Buffet Car' signs (Right

The Chassis of the Replica Ashbury Corridor carriage Have now moved to Haltwhistle (top right photo) construction has begun on the bodywork, the bodyside framework is attached and glued up and work has now started on the machining of the external paneling for both 25 and the Buffet Car.
The chassis had previously been in Llangollen for mechanical work which is easier to do before the bodywork gets built (including brake shaft and bogie mounting points). Construction work is being done by Magnay and Yates, the specialist joinery firm who are also carrying out the technical restoration work on the Buffet Car.
